Cheryl Noorbergen - AKA ‘The Advocate for Do & Wear What You Love’ - is the founder, owner and friendly face behind JorgiaKate: a clothing and accessories boutique that ensures classic, casual and versatile wardrobe staples are accessible year round, right in the heart of gorgeous South Gippsland. 

The JorgiaKate journey began in 2018 with pop-up stores - an experimental joint venture between Cheryl and her daughter, Maddi. The opportunity to work side-by-side as a mother-daughter duo enabled the pair to develop a vision for the brand: building JorgiaKate upon the foundations of family and love. These  - two core values remain central to the business every single day. 

The upheaval of the pandemic (and its impact on small businesses globally) encouraged Cheryl to pivot the brand: moving to a permanent shopfront in Leongatha, establishing an online store, and supporting Maddi to step back from the daily operations to pursue her own path.

A lifelong lover of fashion, fabric and pairing chic accessories to create delightful ensembles - Cheryl considers it a privilege to help women find clothing that creates confidence. Cheryl’s overarching life goal is to make people smile and feel good about themselves - and a gorgeous outfit does just that!

At home, Cheryl listens to Abba, The Bee Gees and Queen, or curls up with a brilliant book in her egg chair. Christmas Day in the caravan at Lake Tyers is a favourite family tradition. Here, you’ll find Cheryl serving up Beef Croquettes (a nod to her Dutch heritage) and delighting the family with her famous potato salad.
